Conference report ‘Improving the Quality of Evaluative Practice by Embracing Complexity’ now online!
In May 2010, a successful conference organised by Context, international cooperation, Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation (CDI) and Learning by Design was held in Utrecht (The Netherlands). This conference tackled the question: What are the options for evaluative practice that respect the complexity of societal transformation while fulfilling quality standards?
Set up around critical reflection on case studies and specific methods, debates were held on rigour, quality standards, values, and complexity. The 150+ participants were driven by a common need to help evaluation better play its key role – that of offering well-informed insight for decision making for change.
